A Way To Reach Your Goal - 'QUIT FOR a MOMENT'

The other day I was observing my niece Aanya. She is too mischievous for her age. At the age of just 1.5 years she can play tricks on you and you will be amazed that you fall in her trap. Here is what she did that day...
Aanya and my father were playing. Normally she would not go to him easily unless she gets something specific. This time she wanted his medicine box to play with but my father was reluctant to give it to her, so, he lifted the box high. She started tapping his thighs and shouting in her way asking to give her the box but my father was adamant that she do not get it. So, he stretched his hand to right with box and she straight away went towards it. While she was moving towards his right, he stretched his hand towards left with the box and she immediately started moving towards his left. This activity was repeated several times, moving the box towards left and then towards right and Aanya also moving towards her right and then left. This went on for 5 min and then my father stretched empty hand towards left while box in his other hand. But Aanya's goal was box so this time she was unmoved and went towards box.
After several attempts still she was unsuccessful. So, she quit and came to me and started playing with me. At times most of us also quit after struggling a bit and she was also not an exception. But she only quit for a moment and all this time the box was going in her mind. During the period she was engaged with me, one of her part was attached with the box and one part observing my father and one part associated with me. By this time my father has left the box free and got busy in watching television. Aanya just made her free from me and quietly went towards box, grabbed it and ran out from the room, so that no one can take it back.
I have completed quarter of my life with 2 years of experience and tried to come out of same situations where I initiate a task and leave it when victory is at next step and always regret that decision to quit. But Aanya taught me to quit for a moment but do not quit your goal and wait for the right time and reach out your goal and run away with your victory far from those who were stopping you to reach there or they will take it back.
